Emmitt Smith Emmitt Smith
On October 27, 2002 Emmitt Smith became the NFL's All-Time Leading Rusher, breaking the record of 16,726 yards held by NFL great Walter Payton.  Emmitt is also the NFL's leader in rushing attempts and last year extended his NFL record of rushing touchdowns to 155.  He trails only Jerry Rice on the NFL's all-time touchdown list.

Since joining the Cowboys in 1990, Emmitt has literally rewritten the team's and the NFL's record books.  A three-time Super Bowl Emmitt Smith champion, and four-time NFL rushing leader, Emmitt was the MVP of Super Bowl XXVIII.  He holds the record for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons (11) is second to Walter Payton in number of 100-yard games in his career (76). In 2003, Emmitt joined the Arizona Cardinals.

In addition to his efforts on the field, Emmitt is a proven performer off the field.  Emmitt and his wife Pat have four children, and are active in many charitable causes.
